I can’t remember ever saying “When I grow up, I want to be Mrs. Claus." 

As we all know, life has a path for us to follow and mine has led me to the North Pole and the “Red Dress”. 

At first, I just enjoyed the magic of the season unfold as I watched Santa make his visits and bring happiness to children. Soon I saw that Santa needed help, and portraying Mrs. Claus fit the bill.

As most Mrs. Claus’ have found, there is very little history or myth about Mrs. Claus. We all know that Mrs. Claus is soft spoken, kind, loving and someone who bakes the best cookies. But there is so much more to her, and we can create our character profile with little restraint.  So, let me help you find your Mrs. Claus and create your character. 

The courses I teach are from my actual experiences and subjects I have researched that can be used by Mrs. Claus. This includes character development, costuming, entertaining, crafts, interacting with your audience and so much more. You’ll find Mrs. Claus isn’t just about baking cookies, she is a character who is growing in popularity and audience appeal.

Mrs. Claus plays a vital role along with Santa at any venue. My visits as Mrs. Claus have included The Atlanta Festival of Trees, The Marriott Marques, The Fox Theatre, Country Clubs, Churches, Private Parties and Charity Events.

I looked into a mirror one day, and I saw Santa staring back at me! I'm sure many of you have this same story to tell.  The first thing that I did was head for my computer and Google how to become Santa Claus, and "Santa Atlanta" popped up...this was the summer of 2003, and I met Santa Gary! He immediately recommended I attend a Santa School, which I did, and boy was it worth it!  So much so, that I've attended a Santa School every year, and I am still learning about the magic of Santa.
 
The Santa Claus Academy is tailored to help Santa's at every level, from Novice to Old Master. We all can benefit from additional training in the proper habits and behavior of Saint Nicholas. After all, we are direct descendants of Saint Nicholas of Myra (270 AD-346 AD). The first of us to leave gifts in the stockings hung out to dry.
 
Now, a little bit about myself...I'm 6 years, entering my 7th year, as a real bearded, direct descendant, of Santa Claus. For those of you familiar with Atlanta, I'm the Santa who greets everyone visiting Fernbank Science Center the first Sunday of December.  I also helped open the New World of Coke in 2007, and escorted the Governor of Georgia (Sonny Perdue) onto the stage for the opening of the Giant Coke Bottle. I'm Santa for numerous country clubs, i.e., Country Club of the South, and The Saint Marlo
Golf Club, many charity events, Home Owners Associations, dinner clubs, Corporate events, as well as private family events, in and around Metro Atlanta. My favorite charity event is the Special Needs School in Lawrenceville, Georgia. These children are so very special. Enough said about Santa David...
